ECIR 2026: In-Person Conference
ECIR 2026 will be an in-person event, fostering direct engagement, networking, and the dynamic exchange of research ideas. This format enhances the conference experience and strengthens our research community, particularly by welcoming students and newcomers.

All accepted papers (oral and poster) must be presented in person. At least one author per paper/poster must attend to present and participate in the Q&A. Pre-recorded videos will not be accepted.
Proxy Presenters
In exceptional cases, if authors cannot attend, they must designate a registered proxy presenter. The proxy must be prepared to present and discuss the work. Authors are responsible for selecting a knowledgeable proxy and ensuring they understand the paper's content.
Regardless of the presenter, at least one author must register for the conference. Proxy presenters must also be registered attendees. We encourage authors to plan ahead and rehearse with their proxies.

Poster printing in Delft (ECIR 2026)
Need to print your ECIR 2026 poster after arriving in Delft? You can print locally and collect it before your session.
Recommended poster specifications
Size: A0 (841 × 1189 mm) (A1 also possible)
File: PDF (single page), print-ready, fonts embedded
Images: ideally 300 dpi
Paper: standard matte/satin poster paper (fabric posters may be available-ask the shop)
Timing: Allow 24–48 hours turnaround when possible. Same-day printing may be available, but is not guaranteed.
Pickup / delivery: Pickup is the default. If you want delivery to the venue or your hotel, contact the print shop directly to confirm options, cost, and timing (not all shops offer delivery).
Tip
If you already have your final PDF, consider placing the order as soon as you arrive in Delft (or the day before), especially during busy periods.
